Skype for Android users in the United States will be able to start making VoIP calls over 3G today beyond calls over Wi-Fi, a feature that users were willing followers since the first application started.
This is not the first 3G call is available behind the U.S. in March 2010, a partnership with Verizon has introduced a special version of Skype Mobile Phones Android to select (and is ideal for BlackBerry, the first time Skype has become available for this platform).
Skype will not share with us what, if anything, has prevented it from releasing this version before - if there was an exclusivity agreement with Verizon, if technical barriers blocking the road, or if it was just part of the development of Skype all the time.
It is obvious is that Skype has continued to develop its flagship VoIP app separate from Qik, the rival it acquired in January. We thought that Skype would be both the ability to Qik place bidirectional video call on Skype to Android, and then pulls the fire, but it does not fit in the plans of Skype, at least not yet. While loyal users will be happy to accept the possibility of calling on 3G networks, two-way video is still high on the wish list.
Skype-Skype calls are free, and credits for calls to landlines and mobile phones to sell at competitive prices. If interested please Download it now! If you are interested in other software please visit the following links!
